Gavin Dobson is a Freelance Journalist, currently residing in Old York City. He writes primarily about the sometimes-unfathomable sport of horse racing and backs up his views by placing (generally losing) wagers with grateful bookmakers. Born in Doncaster in the early 80’s, Gavin is an aficionado of the beautiful game and a Doncaster Rovers season ticket holder, though he spends far too much time fondly reminiscing about the good (bad) old days under Sammy Chung – a period long before the introduction of this newfound ‘pass-and-move’ phenomenon. A lover of gadgets and all things Apple, when not at the game or the racecourse, he can usually be found watching some form of American TV, or gazing at expensive wristwatches that he can’t afford. Examples of his work can be found at www.gdobson.co.uk and you can confabulate with him @gav_dobson.
