Matthew Hammond is a full time cinephile, specializing in cult, art house and
1970’s American cinema. He is currently finishing his MA in Film Studies at
King’s College London University, while living on the edge of South East London.
He is also a writer for New Empress Magazine, and hopes he can continue his
grand master scheme to write about film for the rest of his life before anyone
realizes just how much he loves doing it and tries to stop me. While film is his
overwhelming passion, Matthew has been known to enjoy comic books, 19 th
