Peter Hooton

Sabotaging since 8 Aug 2011

Peter Hooton founded the legendary and influential Merseyside fanzine The End in the 1980’s which the late great DJ John Peel stated was his all time favourite fanzine. In the 1990’s he found worldwide success as lead singer with his group The Farm who had a UK No 1 album Spartacus in 1991. Peter started the website Partizan Media in 2000 and has since contributed to numerous publications including the NME, The Observer and The Guardian. He was author of When Football Was Football – Liverpool a nostalgic look at the history of Liverpool football club and in 2008 became a founding member of The Spirit of Shankly an organisation which mounted a relentless campaign to rid Liverpool Football Club of Tom Hicks and George Gillett. The End compilation will be released in the autumn ????? by Sabotage Times..
