Django Unchained Trailer: Tarantino Tackles The Wild West

People earn good money slating Tarantino for sport. Us? We're counting down the days until the release of Django Unchained...

Any fan of the Western genre will be aware of the Django films. There have been 31 in all with only one official sequel, and most feature Django as a bounty hunter who variously drags a coffin behind him, refuses to speak and kills everything in sight.

When it was announced that Quentin Tarantino was to finally tackle the genre, we were more than excited. Tarantino takes a lot of shit from people who get paid to slate films, but for our money anything he does begs to be watched. Django Unchained, starring Jamie Foxx as Django and supported by Christoph Waltz and Leo di Caprio, is set to be released at Christmas and looks ace. One commenter wondered if ‘he’ll get dragged down by dialogue.” Which is surely missing the point.

Don't mean to go against the party line lads, but I'm fairly convinced this is going to be diabolical.

The big question is, will it feature the great theme song of the original?
