Evisu Are Back On Form
Gull-ing hell
Started in 1991 in Japan, the denim company’s instantly recognisable painted seagull became a symbol of everything that was great about the late 90s and early 00s in London: garage, JD n coke, pirate radio and generally living large.
What with the fashion world looking to that hallowed time for inspiration recently, Evisu’s re-emergence seems well timed. It’s more than just nostalgia though, the latest collection is banging, featuring quality outerwear and the all important heritage denim. There was a reason people loved their jeans in the first place, and I’m glad to see they’ve got it spot on again.
