The latest 12thMan Gear arrives from Italy

Italian designer 12thMan's latest collection follows on in the trait of improving each season.

Regular readers of my (in)frequent dalliances into  the murky world of ‘fashion’ on here will know I’m a big fan of Italian label 12thMan. For one, it’s very well made. Secondly it’s all made in limted numbers (99 of each piece) so you’re not likely to see anyone else at the match / in the pub / down Asda wearing the same jacket or polo. And thirdly, it looks ruddy good!

The latest collection, which we gave you a sneak preview of last year, has just hit the website and is now just a click away. The sizes remain slightly eccentric  - going from small to 4XL which might not make gentlemen of the huskier persuasion feel too comfortable – but the sizing chart helps you pick the right fit.

12thMan seems to be evolving each season. Gradually finding out what works. Trying out new techniques and materials and collaborating with those behind the leading brands in Italian sportswear. I’m looking forward to A/W range already! In the meantime get your mitts on one of these jackets whilst you can. Mine’s the Alcor in the burnt orange thanks!

the jackets look like they belong in Braveheart, Keith.

oh, and 12thMan - wha an absolutely awful name for a brand. I expect clueless 17 year olds in crappy -re-issues and SoccerAM fans will love it though. Your previous article on jackets was superb btw.

Button down polo shirts. You're havin a laugh right? Double dyed jackets don't look too bad though

My green alcor landed on Wednesday and I have to say it's the best S/S jacket I've ever seen in the flesh. Not a fan of button down polos but each to their own. You don't have to buy everything only what you like. Clueless 17 year olds? Most of these pieces end up in the hands of lads who still wear pieces from when Osti was alive.

shite

I was referring to the brand name.

The jackets would have been ace twenty year ago.

How much???

Overpriced:check... unobtainable:check... would a fisherman/rambler wear it:check.... In that case count me in. Actually not that keen, if I was blowing 300 notes on a coat I'd get on ebay and get a slightly used Nigel Cabourn or Daiki Suzuki piece, much more interesting, not to mention warmer, to boot.

Would a fisherman/rambler wear it:check. Who the fuck are you trying to kid? Fashion, pure and simple, to pretend otherwise is just stupid.

Well where do you think most men's casualwear designers draw their inspiration from season after season? Stick to George at Asda pal.

Keith Wildman 12:41 pm, 9-May-2012

Can't please everyone. Which is good.

1990's terrace fashion for the over 30's to wear in 2012, whilst attending a) the latest classic album tour by primal scream/charlatans or b) a few beers (£45 pub coke optional) down the pub watching sky sports to get away from the wife/gf, who is well passed her best. Each to their own but there's much more interesting and stylish clothes out there at the moment. I appreciate someone who likes what they like though and rightly couldn't give a toss about what anyone thinks. Maybe try it with a rolled up chino and create a nice little fusion between then and now. or maybe not.
