Fantastic player, really was the best player at Ibrox whilst fit. A fans favourite.

It is however sad the way he left the club. I think a lot of Rangers fans felt that the likes of Naismith, Ness, McCabe and Aluko owe us more that just walking away. The aforementioned players Naismith, played 50 games in 4 years, Ness 18 in two years, McCabe only played a maximunm of ten games and Aluko was a free transfer when McCoist snapped him up.

I personally have no gripe over the likes of McGregor, Davis leaving, although i feel they may have done it differently. Possibly by signing a contract with newco stating that they wished to be sold this summer and if not then they are given a free transfer and end of window.

I will then go on to contradict myself by stating, that if i was Naismith, McGregor or Davis then i would not have transferred over to newco either, they have careers and Charles Green's Rangers are not organised in the slightest.

I wish the players that have left all the best and i can cnfirm that if fit (that is the big IF) then Everton have got themselves the steal of the summer. He is a fantastic player with an abundance of ability.

I reckon you are wrong on Moyes and Jelavic Stuart when you say: "Jelavic is a class act and had he not been playing in Scotland you could argue he would have got a move to the PL sooner". Everton scouted him in the Europa league in 2010 and decided to pass. It has nothing really to do with him playing for Rangers and everything to do with the fact that Moyes simply couldn't make his mind up on the player. He was already a player who split the scouts who watched him and lots did. Funnily enough the one guy who wanted to sign him was Neil Lennon I am told but Lawell wasn't keen and knocked the request back. That apparently alerted Rangers to act and sign him from Rapid Vienna. Before then Jelavic played in Belgium and for Hadjuk Split without making any waves. If The SPL is as bad as you are suggesting then the obvious question is then how did Jelavic end up at Ibrox? Maybe playing in The SPL alongside Naismith was the making of him? Jelavic certainly seems to think so....

Wow I'm amazed someone could write so much about this person. Having seen most of his games in a Rangers jersey I have to also wonder if you are his agent. Scottish football is not what it was when the Laudrups and Larsons graced it playing fields and the truth is this person would never have got a start at that level. He has been good for Rangers in a division that has fallen so far in quality and he is certainly not good enough for the PL.
I read recently Moyes watched Jelivic in two old firm matches and was unconvinced. He was eventually persuaded by David Weir and he was right..Jelavic is a class act and had he not been playing in Scotland you could argue he would have got a move to the PL sooner.
However, it has to be said that this person will need to do well as he will never be welcomed back among his own again. You know the way Everton fans feel about Rooney we are the same x 10. There is nothing more sickening in modern football than people who profess a love of a club then turn their backs once shown the money! He could still have got a move after signing again for RFC and ensured we got much needed cash but no he wants it all for himself, we nursed him through two major injuries and this is how he says thanks.
Had he got the club some money we would have said go and do well and come back and see us but not now. Never, ever, ever will he be welcome back for Rangers.
I predict he will be back in Scotland in two years max, playing for Hibs or Killie if they are still around then.

I think you have to say what you see Dave and there is no shame in getting your chance on the back of a Bosman transfer. Would Gary McAllister have got his swansong at Liverpool if a fee had been involved or Henrik Larsson or Steve McManaman got their transfers to La Liga? Even at this lesser level, Naismith has a lot of admirers (Weir, Jelavic, Stark and Levein amongst them) who see something extra in the player. Sometimes it just takes a change of context to reveal it (like Dorrans or Adam did when they moved south). As for the injuries, cruciate injuries aren't always as career fatal as once was the case and the fact that the injury didn't recur in the same knee could prove to be a blessing. Time will tell as they say....

Are you his agent?! The fullsome praise seems to clash with the fact he'd never have had a sniff in the EPL if he wasn't going for free. And any player with TWO cruciate knee ligament injuries should be avoided like the plague.
