Arsenal And Liverpool Prepare To Swoop For Prolific Brazilian Striker
According to talkSPORT, Arsenal and Liverpool have been keeping a close eye on Shakhtar Donetsk striker Luiz Adriano and are set to up their interest now that the striker has declared his future is uncertain.
"My plan is to respect the contract, which has not been renewed and will expire in December 2015," he said.
"I am in a good moment of my career and we'll do what will be best for me and for the club.
"With my contract set to expire and many good performances, it'll be difficult to stay in Ukraine."
Thus far, Adriano has remained loyal to Shakhtar and is now their all-time leading goalscorer at 27-years-old. The Brazilian international has scored 5 in 15 in the league, but a whopping 9 in 7 in the Champions League. His form in the most reputable club competition in world football is what's led to interest from the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool, however the Premier League pair will be hoping that they secure their own places in Europe first.
