Why Di Maria Is Perfect For Van Gaal's New Look Man United

LVG seems keen on the Champions League winning Argentine international, who looks set to call it a day at Madrid...

Why Di Maria Is Perfect For Van Gaal’s New Look Man United

According to reports in the Daily Star, Man United have been offered Angel Di Maria on a plate by Real Madrid. The asking price is £40million and, if you ask us, for Louis Van Gaal’s new look United, it could be a snip as Real look to drum up funds.

He’s obviously exponentially better than their current options and what he would bring to the side is often not easy to quantify. Practically the diametric opposite to Nani’s fancy Dan toothlessness, Di Maria brings pace and impetuous, closing down opponents with a raw fury that’s actually a little bit terrifying, and would be the perfect antidote to what was a very sluggish side last term, looking to ACTUALLY DO THINGS with the ball when he has it rather than just put his head down and pump cross after cross into the box.

He’s not a bad finisher himself (despite only bagging four in La Liga last year) but it’s his 17 assists which’ll really bring home that sweet, sweet trophy-shaped bacon.

Oh and he’s a lot more consistent than Arsenal’s £40million man - there’s a reason why Real let Özil leave…

please mr wanger don't just sit twiddling your thumbs while all our rivals are signing all the good players then we end up with second rate players so get the cheque book out after all it's not your own money!

In most transfer windows when a few signings are made by one club there is usually one that makes the fans groan rather than cheer. Up until now United have been and are doing fine then we hear Di Maria mentioned. This is an average footballer, (yes, Madrid do have some), who scores a goal every five games and has created 62 in four seasons. He has a penchant for running round in circles then falling over. Now you may argue that, with United possessing a number of below average players, Di Maria will improve the squad but I don’t think that is the object of the exercise. I expect a few average and below average players to be moved on this window so I don’t see the point in bringing in another one. he is not worth 50,000 never mind 50,000,000.

Utter nonsense. If he was so good, they wouldn't be looking to sell him. He isn't good enough for Utd either. Thankfully LvG clearly has high standards and isn't going to take players to keep mendes happy, like frogson did with bebe.

He's a cheating, diving bastard who manages to outperform the rest of real madrid in these respects. Nuff said
