Arsenal, Chelsea And Man Utd Are All Keen On 18-Year-Old Leeds United Starlet
Leeds United may be in a state of disarray and decline, but they still manage to produce top quality players. The latest player tipped to make the step up to the Premier League and one day play for England is midfielder Lewis Cook. According to the Daily Star, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all keen on Cook.
The 18-year-old made his debut at the beginning of the season and has since become a vital player in Redfearn's squad. He was also part of the England U17s side that won the European Championships in 2014.
Leeds have slapped a £12million price-tag on Cook as they are fully aware of Premier League interest. The club know they'd be powerless to keep him if a top-flight side made an approach and all they can do is get as much money as possible for the starlet.
Cook himself is reluctant to leave Leeds, but he knows that he can't turn down any opportunity that came knocking. If signed by a Premier League side like Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester United, it's likely that Cook will be loaned out post pre-season, possibly back to Leeds, to keep up first team football.
With Chelsea being the club under most pressure to bring young English players into the side again, be it from their academy or elsewhere, they seem likeliest to want to invest. However,Arsenal and United are renowned for developing young talent and giving them opportunities.
