Arsenal Fan Reveals Heart Monitor Results During Man City Game
Football fans tend to get very excited during games but have you ever wondered just how excited you’re getting?
One Arsenal fan decided to find out exactly what effect a game of football had on his nerves by analysing the results of his heart rate monitor after his side’s game with Manchester City, before sharing the results on Reddit.
With the game kicking off at 11pm his time, the fan’s heart rate increased dramatically between the game starting and Arsenal’s 24th minute penalty. It then continues to accelerate throughout the half, peaking at a moment of desperate defending by the Gunners as City piled on the pressure just before half-time.
His old ticker had barely had time to recover over half-time before the match was underway again. Midway through the second-half Arsenal scored their second goal which saw the fan’s heart rate hit it’s peak - no doubt visibly beating through his chest like in an old Warner Bros cartoon.
Having gone 2-0 up his heart rate gradually slows until the end of the match, when he seems to get excited again. We can only speculate as to what post-match celebrations caused this ripples of ecstasy and just hope that it wasn't anything illegal.
