Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger loves shopping for talent in his native France and it looks like he may be about to again. The Telegraph report that Arsenal are looking at both Lyon's Nabil Fekir and Monaco's Aymen Abdennour.
Fekir, 21, has scored 14 goals and assisted 13 this season, thus helping Lyon to be in with a chance of winning League 1. This excellent return from a position that would work in Arsenal's fluid formation has caught Wenger's eye. Fekir is rated as one of the best prospects in France and would be a smart buy.
Abdennour, on the other hand, is a combative defender that Arsenal fans will know all too well from their Champions League tie with Monaco this season. With Mertesacker only getting older, it's thought that Wenger would rather be safe than sorry and he feels Abdennour's physicality, much like new signing Gabriel, suits the Premier League.
Arsenal are no longer afraid to splash their cash, but the pair in question would cost nowhere near the prices that other world renowned names may demand.
