Arsenal Send Chief Scout To Check On Brazilian Midfielder
According to the Mirror, Arsenal are keeping an eye on Hoffenheim's goalscoring midfielder Roberto Firmino. Chief scout Steve Rowley has watched the player several times already, thus indicating Arsenal are very serious about a potential summer bid.
The 23-year-old has been in fine form for Hoffenheim and is emerging as one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe. Firmino has 8 goals and 9 assists in just 24 games in all competitions this season and is currently valued at around £20million, but is worthy of demanding a higher price-tag.
With rumours rife that Santi Cazorla may be let go this summer, or even if another player like Rosicky hangs up his boots, Arsene Wenger could be left looking for a midfielder. 'Le Professeur' has developed a liking for South American players of late and the Brazilian Firmino could be the next latin import for Arsenal.
