Aston Villa: What James Collins' Apology Really Means
"I'm actually not that bothered about what has happened, but the fact we've been caught after such a sh*te season is a right p*sser.
"As a proud Welshman, making such a hash of what should have been routine brawl is a disgrace and I've let my lineage down. Owain Glyndwr is probably turning in his grave.
To his credit, the bouncer was a right c***, and we should have really waded into him. Delph should take a long hard look at himself for shuffling around like a p*ssing shoegazer. Fair play to Herdy though, he had a pop, but managed to look like the boss-eyed one from One Direction with his open neck shirt.
"As a senior player, experienced player I should have showed how it's done, and steamed in.
"Going out six days before a match is, let's face it, no big deal. For the gaffer, a seasoned drinker and brawler himself, to call our actions a slur is frankly baffling, especially when you consider that he's essentially sucked our ability to play football from our bones and made us hate the game. In mitigation, I was with my wife, so it's not like I was out sh*gging."
