Bad News For Man Utd In Chase For Ex-Chelsea Playmaker
Man Utd have made their interest in 23 year old attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne quite clear since the Belgian joined Wolfsburg from Chelsea, but according to The Express Wolves boss Dieter Hecking has batted off their interest this week by stating the playmaker will be staying at the club for another year at least.
Speaking about the young player's future, Hecking stated "I don't see him going anywhere this summer".
That doesn't necessarily mean the deal's off, though. De Bruyne has previously made cryptic comments in interviews about joining a big European club to win trophies, also stating "football is much about money".
It's understood that Van Gaal is willing to spend up to £30m to lure the talent back to the UK, but he'll have to wait until 2016 if Hecking's comments are anything to go by.
What do you reckon Man Utd fans? Is he worth spending the money on? Who would you like to see in the playmaker role instead? Let us know in the comments below.
