Celtic Want LA Galaxy Bound Liverpool Legend On Loan During MLS Off-Season
According to the Sunday People, Celtic are preparing a loan bid for Liverpool's Steven Gerrard after he joins LA Galaxy. The deal would be similar to the one that saw Frank Lampard join Man City on loan for the first half of the season (without the dubious market monopolisation and underhand loop-holing).
Gerrard vowed not to play against Liverpool with another Premier League side, but a move to the Scottish champions to keep his fitness levels up may be something that appeals to him. If it were to happen, Gerrard would join Celtic in early 2016, which is the MLS off-season.
Gerrard may seek advice from ex-teammate Robbie Keane, who has previously played for Celtic on loan. Liverpool's seemingly special relationship with Celtic may also play a part. The connections between the two sets of fans would mean Liverpool being slightly less aggrieved to see him strutting his stuff elsewhere.
