Chelsea Ready To Cash In On Free Scoring Salah: Good Business Or Bad Call?
Many reports indicate that Fiorentina will take up the option to buy Chelsea's Mohamed Salah at the end of his loan spell. Initially it was thought that there was a fixed fee of £9.5million, but the Telegraph report that Chelsea may actually be able to demand up to £18million for the Egyptian attacker.
Salah was supposed to make a permanent move to La Viola in January as an unofficial swap deal involving Cuadrado. However, it fell through and Salah had to settle for a loan. Chelsea were seemingly left worse off after Salah became an instant hit in Italy and now has 7 goals to his name already.
Some Chelsea fans may be wondering why they don't give Salah, who's still only 22, the chance he clearly needs rather than making another few million. It remains to be seen, however, if Mourinho is haunted by the Kevin de Bruyne situation, or whether his ruthless approach and stubbornness will see him sanction the sale that would see Chelsea make a £9million profit.
