Chelsea are considering a bid for former Stoke and current Sevilla midfielder Steven Nzonzi, according to The Sun. Nzonzi has also attracted attention from other Premier League sides since his victory in the Europa League final over Liverpool.
Antonio Conte is keen to strengthen Chelsea's midfield. Especially with John Obi Mikel very much on the tailing off end of his career. Radja Nainggolan of Roma has been linked with the Blues, but it seems Nzonzi could be the new centre of focus.
It seems an odd one, considering he wasn't exactly eye-catching at Stoke. However, his form for Sevilla has been much more so and clubs are beginning to take a serious interest. One of said clubs is Premier League champions Leicester City, who are looking to possibly replace N'Golo Kante.
Chelsea, however, seem intent on securing Nzonzi's services. The Frenchman has a £21million release clause that's just asking to be met.
