Why Is Daniel Levy Paying So Much Of Spurs Money To Agents?
An interesting statistic has appeared on Reddit which shows the amount of money paid by Premier League clubs to player agents.
Covering the period between October 2013 and September 2014, the leaders in this field are Chelsea who paid £16.7m, just ahead of Liverpool (£14.3m) and Manchester City (£12.8m).
Yet it is the fourth team on this list which is the most surprising. Spurs paid £10.9m to agents, despite being relative minor players in the transfer market during this period.
Both Manchester United and Arsenal spent much more on players, while oiling less palms, so why are Tottenham paying so much money to agents?
