Spurs have accepted a £12m bid for Andros Townsend from Newcastle and the England winger may have given away a clue as to where he'll play at St James' Park.
Townsend told Sky Sports: "As soon as I knew of Newcastle’s interest they were the only club I wanted to join.
"Two of the biggest positions you can play in football are Centre Forward or Left Winger. I’ve got the chance to play one of those – I could never turn that down."
Townsend is able to play as a winger on either flank but was mainly used on the right at Tottenham, where he was often criticised from cutting inside too often.
Now it looks as if he'll be given the chance to prove himself as a left-winger at Newcastle and fans of the Magpies should take a look at this goal he scored for Spurs last season, which shows his prowess on that flank.
