Keep the wantaways, get rid of Eboue and dreams of Schweinsteiger: how one Arsenal fans sees the transfer window.

It’s the silly season in football – do you love it or hate it?

I dont mind the break so much as I hate the tediousness of the transfer gossip that replaces it. It's the equivalent of a girl buying OK! magazine to see who's getting fatter and who's dating who.

This summer what are you hoping to read every time you check your club news each morning?

No news is somewhat good news with regards to the Cesc and Nasri situations.

What do you inevitably end up reading instead?

Nasri. Cesc. Cesc. Nasri.

Got much cash in the kitty?

Apparently so. £30m without the monies added by the hopeful sales of deadwood.

Hulking midfielder? Tricky winger? Big bastard defender? What types of players would you like to sign this summer?

My ideal signing that hasn't a hope of happening would be Bastian Schweinsteiger. A hard tackling midfielder with presence and ability who would not be bullied.

Harry Redknapp by a thousand twitches. Someone tell him he hasn't got to be on Sky Sports News every day.....

What types of player will you end up signing instead? An U21 Moldovan left back instead of Spanish international forward perhaps?

U21? Our signings are usually younger. We have already brought in Carl Jenkinson, a young full back from Charlton. Whilst it's tough to get excited about, it's good to see a player who has Arsenal in his blood, with his old man being a season ticket for 40 years.

Other than that, Gervinho has been added and is likely to replace Bendtner, whilst Gary Cahill is repeatedly mentioned. We seem to have waited too long on that deal, waiting for a bargain, as Chelsea lurk with their bottomless Russian pot.

Who wants to leave the club and what’s your attitude towards them?

I hear Cesc quite fancies a move to Barcelona, whilst Nasri reportedly only has a year left and hasn't signed an extension. Tongue out of cheek, I don't begrudge Cesc his dream move home, although I do question why he left there in the first place. If Barcelona met our valuation, Id wish him well. Its up to them to do so. Nasri is slightly different, and is being deemed greedy by some. Whilst money is of course a part of it, you can understand his overall questioning of our ambition if we fail to improve the squad.

Who has been the biggest tosser of this transfer window?

Harry Redknapp by a thousand twitches. Someone tell him he hasn't got to be on Sky Sports News every day.....

Reckon you’ll be stronger or weaker next season?

If the wantaways stay, stronger. If they go, weaker.

Any other news?

Emmanuel Eboue is still an Arsenal player. Criminal.

What has been the best ever bit of business your club did in the transfer window?

Hopefully that hasn't happened yet. Thus far it has to be Gervinho by default.

And the worst?

Not selling Eboue and being pedestrian about recruiting those players we do want.
