At big clubs like Everton and Manchester United, it's paramount that the murky world of big money transfers remains pretty under wraps. Apart from sanctioned snippets to the press, Joe Public generally has bugger all idea about what's going on, apart from dodgy rumours your dad heard drunk down the pub or something some idiot made up on Twitter.
The rumours surrounding Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines going to Man United have been circulating ever since David Moyes took on the rather tricky job of succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson. And now, the official letter from Everton Deputy-Chairman Jon Woods has been leaked, in full, online; telling Man United in no uncertain terms: go do one. Or maybe just cough up a bit more and you can have them.
Interestingly, the letter also discusses an agreement Everton have with David Moyes about certain 'terms and conditions'... Is there a certain fee that, once reached, will secure Baines or Fellaini? Or both?
With two weeks left of the window, this saga still has time for one more twist.
