Everton, Man City And Aston Villa Stalwart Set To Become Most Booked Player
It's generally a positive thing to hold a Premier League record but Gareth Barry is set to become the holder of one that no one wants.
Barry has received 99 Premier League yellow cards during his career with Aston Villa, Manchester City and Everton, putting him level with serial foulers Lee Bowyer and Kevin Davies. With Barry still playing regularly for Everton, it is surely only a matter of time before he becomes the most booked player in Premier League history, unless of course he drastically alters his game and just stops trying to tackle people.
The only way for Barry to respond to this really is to embrace the recognition this will bring him. Stand up to the critics and admit "yes, I am the dirtiest/clumsiest footballer of the Premier League age. What of it?"
