Ex-Spurs Man And Champions League Winner Is Set To Reject Man Utd And Chelsea
Following much speculation about his future and strong links to both Man Utd and, more recently, Chelsea, ex-Spurs man Gareth Bale is set to snub a return to the Premier League and stay in Real Madrid. The Daily Mail reports that Bale wants to prove himself worthy (not that he has to) in Madrid.
The Welshman has been heavily criticised by the unforgiving Real Madrid fans. There are even videos of fans attacking Bale's car and calling him names. Spanish fans tend to be much less reserved than their English counterparts and if a team or player isn't performing as they think it/he should be, they'll make sure the point is made loud and clear.
According to the Mail's report, Bale has a £75million buy-out clause in his contract and the figure is seen as very much affordable by Man Utd and Chelsea with both sides having leeway with regard to Financial Fair Play. It was thought that the ex-Spurs man might fancy a move back to the Premier League for both footballing and family reasons, however, it seems he's rather stay and win back the critics.
