According to The Guardian, the family of Radamel Falcao have confirmed the player has signed for Chelsea on loan.
The deal is understood to be a one-year loan with a view to a permanent move.
The Colombian striker has been playing under a similar deal for Man Utd for the last season, on loan from his club Monaco. Jose Mourinho is adamant he can get the best out of the player, with many United fans labelling him a 'flop' during his stint so far in the Premiership. United turned down the chance to make his move permanent.
Chelsea are expected to announce the deal this week. The Guardian report the wage deal to be in the region of £180,000 a week. We can hear Harrods bosses rubbing their hands from here.
Falcao is understood to be joining Chelsea for their pre-season tour of North America once his holiday in Colombia is finished. Chelsea will play PSG, Barcelona and the New York Red Bulls.
