Leeds fans haven’t had much to cheer about in recent seasons but five years ago today they enjoyed one of the club’s most famous victories.

One of worst aspects of relegation is that it robs the supporters of their natural rivalries. So there was plenty of excitement when Leeds were drawn to play at Old Trafford in the FA Cup third round against the reigning Premier League champions.

Not given a chance, Leeds produced one of the biggest FA Cup shocks in recent years. Jermaine Beckford - signed from non-league Weladstone - cemented his reputation as one of the best players outside the top flight, with a goal that gave Leeds a 1-0 win over their greatest foes.
