Here's Why West Ham Are Looking To Poach Man Utd Striker

In news that'll delight Hammers fans this morning, the Daily Star are reporting West Ham's interest in Man Utd striker Javier Hernandez, currently on loan at Real Madrid.

The rumours come from Spanish newspaper AS, who say West Ham have been monitoring the progress of Chicarito and are likely to offer him a lifeline in the Premiership, as Van Gaal struggles to find a place for him in his Man Utd team.

Hernandez only has a year and a half left on his contract, so there'll likely be a battle of wits between West Ham, who'll want to tempt player for as cheap as possible; Man Utd, who'll want to cash in before he's allowed to go on a free; and Real Madrid who want to get the best out of the player before he returns to England.

When you watch his highlights reel, it's not hard to see why Big Sam wants him in Claret and Blue next season.
