Highly Rated Midfielder Ready To Quit Roma And Join Liverpool
According to the Daily Mail, reports in Italy suggest that Miralem Pjanic could be on the way out of Roma and Liverpool are leading the race for the midfielder. The Bosnian international is one of the highest rated playmakers in Europe and the consensus seems to be that he is off in the summer.
Liverpool have identified the 24-year-old Pjanic as the perfect replacement for Steven Gerrard, who will join LA Galaxy at the end of the season. Pjanic starred for Roma in their games against Manchester City in this year's Champions League group stages. He also played a key role in Bosnia's impressive outing at the World Cup last summer.
Pjanic will no doubt have many suitors, but with Liverpool's need as it is and their willingness to splash the cash if needs be, they look favourites to land the midfielder. Transfermarkt.de value Pjanic at £24.64million, but Roma could easily demand £30million for what is one of their prized assets.
