Inter Milan Could Tempt Liverpool With £7m Bid For Brazilian Midfielder
According to The Mirror, Liverpool could let their defensive midfielder Lucas Leiva move to Inter Milan. Having looked like he'd leave last summer, Lucas stayed at Liverpool and has earned a place in the starting line up once again. Although selling the player would leave them short in the midfield area, it's thought that Brendan Rodgers is looking to rebuild now and in the summer.
Lucas has proven himself a valuable asset in the Premier League and is crucial in how gives the likes of Henderson and Coutinho more license to roam. However, it may be time Emre Can, Liverpool's summer signing, steps up and takes the defensive midfield position for his own. Can's impressive displays at centre back are encouraging with regard to the German's versatility, but it is important that he nails down one position and continues to develop in that role.
