Is Ings Set To Snub Liverpool In Favour Of Manchester United?
Burnley striker Danny Ings, who is out of contract in the summer, has a host of suitors vying for his signature, but according to the Daily Star, Ings' preference is Manchester United NOT Liverpool.
Ings, 22, has been watched by numerous top clubs this season and his impressive goalscoring record speaks for itself. Liverpool were thought to be in pole position, but Manchester United are thought to be the player's choice.
United may opt to send Falcao back to Monaco and save themselves around £40million by signing soon-to-be free-agent Ings. Louis van Gaal has been openly critical of his strikers this season and the fresh impetus that Ings would bring may be exactly what's needed at Old Trafford.
Liverpool, meanwhile, may turn to Leeds United's 20-year-old striker Alex Mowatt as an alternative. The youngster has great potential and Liverpool have already sent scouts to watch the player in action.
