According to the Liverpool Echo, Man City will make a third bid for Raheem Sterling understood to be in the region of a whopping £50m.
As anybody reading this will already know, the Liverpool and England winger has been involved in a high-profile spat with his current club, initially refusing a £100,000 a week deal before closing the door on any contract negotiations at all.
Sterling is still under contract at Anfield until 2017 and the Reds have no desire to sell him for anything less than £50m. Man City have been chasing the player for some time and both teams are well aware of the Sky Blues' spending power, suggesting the £50m price tag will be met.
City had an offer of £40m rejected last week, but Sterling knows he has lost the support of the fans and will be doing all he can to get out before the transfer window closes.
