Liverpool Face Competition For Borussia Dortmund Striker
Liverpool have long held interest in Borussia Dortmund's striker Ciro Immobile. The impressive Italian was bought to replace Robert Lewandowski and despite a good first season, this time around he's been underwhelming. According to talkSPORT, Liverpool are monitoring Immobile's situation but face competition from AC Milan.
The ex-Torino man may fancy a move back to Italy, but one thing Milan won't have much of is cash. If they fail to qualify for European competition of any kind it will be extremely hard to a) afford and b) convince Immobile. Liverpool are still in the hunt for Champions League football, however they may have to settle for the Europa League if Man Utd keep picking up points.
Brendan Rodgers seems intent on finding another striker as Balotelli has failed to make an impact. It would take around £13million to land Immobile and the player has just put his German home up for sale.
