Liverpool have received a boost in their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain’s Ezequiel Lavezzi, with the French champions prepared to let him leave the club this January.
Liverpool are said to have been closely monitoring the situation since the summer, with Brendan Rogers a keen admirer of the Argentinian winger.
Now, following reports in the Metro that PSG boss Laurent Blanc has ordered the club’s bosses to sell Lavezzi sooner rather than later, Liverpool may look to finalise a deal this month.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa have revealed they will sell Reds target Delph this January if they can get £4 milllion for the England midfielder.
The Mirror report that Liverpool are willing to meet Delph's £60k wage demands, and see the 25-year-old as a potential replacement for the departing Steven Gerrard.
