Fenway Sports Group, the company who own Liverpool, have made enquiries into the availability of Aston Villa's Belgian battering-ram Christian Benteke, according to the Independent.
The 24-year-old still has two years left on his contract at Villa, and it's understood he'd cost in the region of £20m. Liverpool fans will be hoping it's money well spent this time and not another Mario Balotelli fiasco.
Liverpool must strengthen on all areas of the pitch, but failing to replace Suarez's goals has been one of the main issues in a disappointing season for the Reds. Benteke has proven ability in the Premiership, with a scoring record of just under one every two games for Villa.
