Liverpool: Meet The World Cup Centre Back Rodgers Wants To Replace Skrtel
None of Liverpool's centre-back's really convinced last year, could Dejan Lovren change that?
Liverpool: Meet The World Cup Centre Back Rodgers Wants To Replace Skrtel
You’ve got to feel for Southampton. They’ve just had their best season for years - playing slick, attractive football with a number of local players, all under the inspired leadership of a smart young manager - and now the big clubs have picked them to the bone
Saints have lost their manager to Spurs, and Luke Shaw’s gone to United. Liverpool have already signed Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, and now according to The Express, Dejan Lovren are in their sights.
The Croatian defender, who played in the World Cup, wants to play Champions League football and he isn’t happy about Mauricio Pochettino’s departure.
Liverpool came so close to the title last year in spite of their defence, rather than because of it, and Brendan Rodgers will be hoping Lovren can help to tighten things up at the back. He’s an intelligent defender who reads the game well and he’s very composed in possession, which would suit Liverpool’s attacking style.
Would Liverpool fans like to see Lovren in your defence next year?

must say I was impressed by this lads performance against brazil. don't know wether or not we will go for him though. already have a left sided centre half in sakho. better than sakho in my opinion though.
Dont get why we let utd have mangala
don't know why don't go in for james rodriguez.
Liverpool should be fined for all the underhand use of the media to try and court our players, if that isnt tapping up then what is.hope they have a crap season and dont win anything, all they have done is rattle our squad and cause players to want to leave.scouse bastards!!
Just because a person has 1 good world cup doesn't make him a world class player, james rodriguez, just get Dejan Lovren and 1 world class striker, not pussy Robben, he keeps diving.
You can buy the best centre-backs on the planet and they will still leak goals without a quality defensive midfielder to protect them. Unfortunately B.R. thinks the front 4-2 should be on constant attack leaving the back 4 to look after themselves, that only works if you have defensive minded full-backs.
