Liverpool have been linked with a move for Henrikh Mkhitaryan since before he moved to Borussia Dortmund, and they could be set to make their move now, according to The Mirror.
The 26 year old Armenian international has made 94 appearances for Dortmund, scoring 24 times and laying on 20 assists. The Reds are rumoured to have made a £15 million bid for the attacking midfielder, and his versatility is something that would appeal to Brendan Rodgers. He has often been deployed on the right of midfield for Dortmund, but can also play through the middle or out left.
Of course this is a player who Rodgers admires, but whether he feels he is a player he needs now is unknown, and there is also interest from Juventus. Mkhitaryan recently bagged a brace for Dortmund and his agent stated back in February that, "Henrikh wants to leave Dortmund at the end of the season. We will have to wait and see what we can do."
