Liverpool Scout 'The Roman Rat' For Next Season's Title Push

According to reports in today's Mirror, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is said to have sent scout Paul Goldrick over to Rome to watch young Brazilian wonderkid Felipe Anderson in action. Anderson, a Santos academy graduate and Brazil youth international, has lit up Serie A this year with a series of dazzling displays for Lazio, and has attracted a host of suitors from all across Europe.

Anderson - who has been nicknamed 'O Rato de Roma' or, 'The Roman Rat' by Lazio fans - played the full 90 minutes in Lazio's 4-0 romp over Fiorentina, as Stefano Pioli's side pushed ahead into Champions League contention. If Liverpool manage to sign Felipe Anderson, he may very well be another Philippe Coutinho for Brendan Rodgers' side - a prospect no doubt incredibly tantalising to Liverpool fans.
