A study by Company Check has revealed which teams spent the most money-per-goal last season.
Using data from Companies House, the study looked into how much each team were spending on wages and used those figures to work out a cost for each goal.
Liverpool were the biggest spenders with each of their 52 Premier League goals costing over £2.7 million.
At the other end of the table were Crystal Palace, who spent a measly sum of less than £12,000 for each of their 47 goals.
With Palace ending the season in a respectable mid-table position, they are clearly over-performing and their fans can look forward to what can be achieved with a little more investment. Check out the table here.
