Liverpool Target Out Of Favour Man City Striker
According to the Mirror, Liverpool are eyeing a move for out of favour Man City striker Stevan Jovetic. The 25-year-old can't afford to let his career stagnate and with the signing of Wilfried Bony, who is only a year older than Jovetic, it looks like it's time to move on. The player himself has made clear that he was unhappy with being left out of Man City's Champions League squad and that it "killed" him.
Interest from Italy will prove a stumbling block for Liverpool, as Jovetic may well fancy a return to Serie A and Man City would prefer to sell abroad. However, Liverpool have the upper hand financially and may well have to stump up £25million to secure a deal.
Liverpool could use a versatile, interlinking and technically sound striker like Jovetic to accompany the returning Sturridge and finally succeed to fill the void left by Luis Suarez. In any case, Jovetic would be a better option to have than Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert.
