Liverpool could have found a buyer for Mario Balotelli as Italian side Bologna this week expressed their interest in signing the striker, according to the Standard.
The 24 year old Italian has failed to make a good impression at Anfield since joining for £16m last year. With only one goal in 16 league games for the Reds, and a series of controversial incidents off the pitch including public messages of support to Raheem Sterling after his move to Manchester City, Rodgers would do well to cut his losses before the end of the summer.
Newly promoted Bologna are said to be keen to take Balotelli on a permanent transfer ahead of their campaign to stay in Serie A. With the likes of Benteke and Firmino now in Liverpool's ranks, competition for first team football will be strong at Anfield, and if Rodgers wants to be taken seriously, nothing other than 100% will make the cut.
