24 year old powerhouse Christian Benteke was a key figure in Aston Villa's Premiership survival campaign last season and bosses there will be in no hurry to sell him, but that hasn't stopped a host of clubs, including Spurs and Liverpool, trying to tempt the Belgian away from Villa Park.
It's Liverpool who've been most closely linked with his signature this summer however, as Rodgers looks to strengthen his attacking options ahead of next season's European push.
With that in mind, Villa have sent a stern warning out to the Reds this week, telling them to forget about signing Benteke for anything less than his £32.5m contract release clause, according to the Mirror, and the player will report to Villa's pre-season tour.
