Before last week's derby defeat, every Arsenal blog out there seemed to publish their list of the best goals scored against Spurs, yet a number of them somehow forgot perhaps the greatest strike to grace the fixture.

In fairness, a lot of these young writers don't even remember the nineties, let alone football before the advent of the Premier League, so they can be forgiven for being in the dark in regards to one Liam Brady.

It is 'Chippy' Brady's 59th birthday today and there's surely no better way to celebrate than to remember his most famous goal for Arsenal.

Brady's wonder-strike came in a 5-0 win for Arsenal at White Hart Lane. With Tottenham under pressure, the ball fell to their winger Peter Taylor - of England U21 and being sacked a lot fame - who decided to turn his man rather than just belt it to safety.

Big mistake. Brady tackled him, took a couple of steps with the ball, before bending it majestically into the top corner.

Cue John Motson: "Look at that! Ooohhhh! Look at that!!!"

Top four fight has good news for Arsenal but bad news for Man Utd
