The Mirror report that Arsene Wenger is looking to make a bid to bring Chelsea's out of favour 'keeper, Petr Cech, to Arsenal.
Jose Mourinho has all but resigned to losing the 32 year-old and sees Thibaut Courtois as Chelsea's new long-term no.1. Cech may fancy staying in the Premier League and, even more conveniently, in London. With Szczesny not performing as well as last season and Ospina injured, Wenger is reportedly willing to pay around £7million for Cech, who is still one of the top 'keepers in the league.
Not only would Cech help stabilise the Arsenal defence, but his experience would be invaluable to this Arsenal squad. With 3 Premier League titles and a Champions League winner's medal to his name, the Czech knows what it takes to win the biggest competitions on offer and could help instil more of a winning mentality in the Emirates dressing room.
What do you reckon Chelsea fans? Would it be a mistake selling such a skilled player to a Premiership rival? Do you even consider Arsenal to be a rival anymore? Arsenal fans, do you want Cech between the sicks for you next season? Let us know in the comments below.
