Man United 'Agree Deal' For World Cup Winner

For the second time this January, Louis van Gaal has stated that Man United will NOT be making any additions to the squad in the winter window. The reality of the January  market is that clubs are rarely willing to let their biggest and best go with there being so little time to find adequate replacements.

With this in mind it makes sense that Man United will reportedly have to wait until summer to secure the signature of Mats Hummels. The Daily Star report that the German World Cup Winner has agreed a deal in principle which will see him move to Old Trafford for nearly £40million.

Borussia Dortmund are struggling near the bottom of the Bundesliga and their best players may be tempted to get out whilst they can this summer and return to playing Champions League football, which now looks a tough challenge to secure.

Hummels would be the perfect signing for Man United who desperately need some experienced quality in defence and with the rumours persisting, it seems like this one could actually be on.
