Manchester United are ready to spend £30million on Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, according to The Sun.
Krychowiak was a key part of the side that beat Liverpool in the Europa League final. His dominance in midfield has helped Sevilla win the tournament three years running.
The 26-year-old's progress hasn't gone unnoticed by big English sides. Arsenal tried to sign the player in the January transfer window before opting to buy Mohamed Elneny instead. Now with Arsenal ready to announce the signing of Granit Xhaka in the coming days, the coast is clear for United's approach.
Although United can't offer Champions League football next season, they can offer working under Jose Mourinho, who is expected to be named manager this week.
Krychowiak would add some much needed consistency to a United midfield that has yet to find real balance. And with Carrick looking like he'll no longer be playing there next season, there's a space up for grabs.
