The former Manchester United and England star Lee Sharpe is not impressed with the style of football played by his old club under current manager Louis van Gaal.
Lee Sharpe, speaking exclusively to 888sport.com ahead of Manchester United’s tie with West Ham, had this to say on the tactics employed by Van Gaal.
“I generally watch what I think will be entertaining games with two attack-minded passing teams.
"Obviously United used to come under that. There were always goals and chances. I now find myself flicking the telly over and doing something else for ten minutes.
“They’re near the top and he (Van Gaal) is not doing a bad job. It’s just a shame that the play is so dull and for me he’s not giving the players a lot of freedom.”
