Manchester United May Have Signed A 17-Year-Old Costa Rican Winger

David Hynter, a writer for the Guardian, has tweeted that he's heard Man Utd have signed 17-year-old Costa Rica winger Luis Hernandez. The youngster is highly rated and has been playing his football at the same club that Arsenal's Joel Campbell did, Deportivo Saprissa.

The left winger, who can also play left back, had a trial at Man Utd last year and seems to have impressed enough to convince the Red Devils to take the final step and sign the player. His ability to play as a wing-back is probably what's most attractive about the youngster to Louis van Gaal, who seems to use such players in his preferred system.

Hernandez will most likely cost next to nothing, but possibly have various play-time and sell-on clauses in his contract. It'll be a while before we see the player in action and Man Utd are yet to confirm the deal, but he's an exciting prospect that the fans can look forward to.
