Manchester United Plan £60Million Swoop For Uruguayan Superstar Striker
It seems as if Radamel Falcao's not so romantic fling with ManUnited will come to end in the summer as he's failed to impress during his time at the club. Instead, according to the Daily Star, Van Gaal will be given £60million to spend on PSG striker Edinson Cavani.
It's believed that Man United approached PSG about Cavani whilst David Moyes was still in charge, but no deal materialised. This time around, however, a finish in the top 4 looks more within their reach. It's reported that the Glazers will only sanction (another) huge deal if Man United secure Champions League football.
Edinson Cavani is thought to be unhappy at PSG and is desperate for a new challenge. Cavani has somewhat regressed in Paris as a result of Zlatan Ibrahimovic being preferred to the Uruguayan. A move back to Italy, namely to Juventus, is also reportedly on the cards, but the Turin based side are no match for Man United's superior financial firepower. It seems likely that the Manchester club will offer Cavani most if not all of Falcao's wages, thus making the potential deal one of the most expensive in English football history.
