Mané: Why Man United Should Sign Sporting Lisbon's New 'New Ronaldo'
David Moyes is reportedly targeting Sporting Lisbon winger Carlos Mane as part of Manchester United's summer rebuilding plans, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
The 19-year-old is rated as Lisbon's most exciting talent since a certain Cristiano Ronaldo, and Moyes will be thrilled if he can replicate even a fraction of Ronaldo's incredible success at Old Trafford.
Mane isn't the central midfielder United are so desperately crying out for, but he can play on either flank and his pace, flair and eye for goal would all be welcome now that Antonio Valenica's one trick has been worked out, and Ashley Young and Nani are both constant disappointments.
Sporting have put a £20 million price tag on the youngster, though with a reported transfer budget of around £200 million, that is well within United's reach.
