The Metro has reported that Manchester have made a £5.75m for the Brazilian teenager Kenedy.
Who, you say? Listen up and we’ll fill you in… Kenedy is a 19-year old forward who has been catching the eye at Fluminese. Not yet a first-team regular for his club, Kenedy has nonetheless been impressing during cameo appearances on the bench and featured for Brazil in the recent South American U-20 tournament.
Normally when a Brazilian teenager breaks through they are described as the ‘new Neymar’ but in Kenedy’s case he’s more like the ‘new Hulk’. Wait… it’s not as bad as it sounds.
The comparison comes from the fact that like Hulk, Kenedy typically plays off the right cutting in onto his trusty left foot. He also possesses very good strength for one so young, but is faster and a better dribbler than the often cumbersome Hulkster.
Convinced yet? At a bargain price this doesn’t seem like the worst gamble for United to take. Watch his highlights and make up your own mind.
